The Extension 7 Housing Project is located in the East Bank of Alexandra. The development consists of 1338 institutional subsidy units (RDP) and are being constructed on 80m² sites. The aim of the Project is to develop housing for households who are being relocated as part of the Alexandra Renewal Project’s relocation programme. This programme focuses on relocating people who are living in dangerous and hazardous conditions or on land that is needed to develop the public spaces or upgrade/maintain engineering services.
