On 6 April 2002 the first full meeting of the Alexandra Development Forum was held at the Alexandra Sankopano Centre. The objective of the forum is to ensure that the Alexandra Renewal Project is implemented in a manner that is acceptable to, and addresses the needs of, the residents of Alexandra. It is open to all non-governmental organisations in Alex and meets monthly.
