Bulk Water Services & Reservoir

In order to improve the water supply to Alexandra, bulk services are being upgraded. These include the upgrading of water mains for Frankenwald, Westlake and Marlboro as well as a 30 megalitre reservoir in Linbro Park. The reservoir offers two benefits: it gives Alexandra a "gravity-fed" system that will end high-pressure problems. The old reservoir (12 megalitres) will remain as a back-up. The reservoir started operating on 1st July 2004.
