An innovative project funded by the ARP is providing new skills to Alex artists. Frank van den Ham-Msimang a world-famous glass artist volunteered his knowledge and skills to train 9 artists in the art of glass fusion. A workshop was set up in the Yurona building on Watt street with an oven and other equipment provided by Frank. The artists set to work, making glass panels depicting life in Alex which are now being installed in the Alexandra Heritage Information Centre.
