to new housing developments in Alex. A few months later the foresight
of the Alexandra Renewal Project is emphasised as power outtages

Sunshine and hot baths
The sun’s rays will be used to heat water in a new housing
development in Alexandra.
Alexandra Township will be providing its own solution to the endless
power crisis South Africa is destined to experience with the launch of
its solar powered Far East Bank development.
“It’s the first project of its kind,” said Alexandra Renewal Project
housing manager Sam Ramashala.
