URGENT ALERT – ALEXANDRA COMMUNITY MEETING

A public meeting is to be held in Alexandra following Monday’s
unrest in the area around First and Sixth Avenue, along London Road.
The meeting is an initiative of the Alex Councillors to address the
current situation of crime and violence that has arisen recently in
the area.

”The ARP deplores any act of violence against anyone and sees the
violence against (so-called) foreigners as a criminal activity that
must be dealt with by the necessary law and order authorities.
The ARP will be strengthening its efforts and working through its
partners to ensure that xenophobia doesn’t take root in Alexandra”,
